At my school, I write for a campus fashion magazine called MODA. Every year, MODA hosts a fashion show featuring the collections of student designers. I've been looking forward to this show literally all year!
It's such an incredible event. The atmosphere is amazing – everyone there is passionate about clothing and design and everyone dresses up in their best outfits. It's a great opportunity for people watching! Of course, I had to rep the vintage crowd – most guests were wearing designer clothes or streetwear.
Jacket: Vintage, from Vintage Underground (Chicago). Dress: Modcloth (old). Necklace: vintage. Scarf: vintage, from Confetti Co Vintage. Shoes: Dr. Martens. Bag: it was a present and idk where it came from!
I found this INCREDIBLE vintage jacket while shopping with my mom. It's so absurdly perfect – you know when you try on a vintage piece and you're pretty sure it was literally made for you specifically? This was a once in a million find and I know I'm gonna treasure this baby for years.

Me with my friend, Wendy, who designed one of the collections! |
Before the show, there's always a pre-show performance by one of the dance troops from campus. As usual, they were spectacular. There was so much energy during the show. It's amazing to see so many people going absolutely batshit crazy cheering over the work of fellow students. I'm really inspired to actually go home and learn how to sew! I've been meaning to for years, lol.
Here are some my favorite shots I snapped during the show!
A very enthusiastic audience member. |
